The2015Meeting

Meetings are part of working life for most people. Love them or hate them, they’ll always be there. However, the ways in which we meet has changed over time. Not only that, but the times we meet aren’t the same anymore, and the length of time of meetings has shortened as the years have gone by. How often do you get a good night’s sleep? If the answer is anything less than “Always”, then you might want to consider the impact your gadgets are having on your nightly slumber. While it’s common for many of us to unwind in the evening reading eBooks, watching Netflix or catching up on Facebook on our phones or tablets, experts are united in their belief that this is not healthy. While many people swear by the versatility of Evernote, several others think it makes for a bloated nightmare of an app. Neither camp is wrong, because when it comes to productivity tools, “one size doesn’t fit all.” An app that streamlines someone’s day can throw a wrench in yours. This makes it vital that you choose the tools in your digital arsenal with a bit of care and thoughtfulness. It pays to use the right tool for the job. http://t.co/1AYX7yoZjn http://pic.twitter.com/16sWiY6PFN — Tim Fargo (@alphabetsuccess) September 25, 2015 Instead of trying to test every single app out there, find a select few that...

With Google stopping auto-play Flash ads this year, it won’t be long before the rest of the Internet starts turning it’s back on all things Flash. It may be time to download all of your favorite flash games before they all go away! If you’re a fan of...

iot-devices-not-secure

We recently wrote about why the Internet of Things (IoT) may not be all the glitter and champagne it’s cracked up to be. To expand on that idea, it’s well worth looking at a number of smart devices that you may not want to connect to the web after all. At least not yet, anyway. It’s no surprise that the IoT is loudly ringing alarm bells. The “matured” security of the 25-year-old Internet is a long-shot from being perfect. All we can expect from the baby-faced security in and around the IoT is something extremely rudimentary, accompanied with all the risk that...
